WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FACE???
I haven't managed to do any art lately!!! It's frightening!!
So instead, here's an old piece from late 2009. It wasn't a finished project-- it was a practice for a bigger project-- but I ended up liking this little practice better than the final. Go figure.
More messing around with watercolor. The face is saran-wrap technique (I've described this before), the rest of the body is wetwash, and the background is water-droplet (wet the paper, paint the colors desired on the paper, and then use the brush to drop water droplets on the paper here and there to make faint little sunbursts. The more water, the fainter the drops. This is super-super-super wet, so it's very faint).
Again, old project that I'm unreasonably, hugely fond of.
Siri (also known as Siriuesse, my black lab [the one pictured here]) turned 6 on September 5th. I can't believe we've had her that long. Now it's my brother's 10th birthday today, so I need to go wrap presents.
By the way, yes, this is similar to my sketch "Puppy Eyes", since the sketch for this was based directly off of that old sketch. Which was my first deviation on dA, ever.
