Down the little path led to the garden, where the trees turned the color of bonfires and stars and covered the ground in leaves... Little buildings stood amidst the flaming leaves. Shadows cast the path into flame and ember, as the path drew away into the distance. All was silent.
NOTE: the quality of the picture here is poor, because it's too big for my scanner and had to be photographed. Wah.
Alright, folks, here's another post for you all!
I've actually been really looking forward to posting this... I'm hoping everyone likes it.
So here's my final project for the "traditional landscapes" portion of my independent art study; this particular project is one of my best landscapes (I think) and was a lot of fun to do. It's in acrylic paint, and took about... 20 hours? It's about 12 inches tall by 18 inches wide in real life, so maybe 40 cm by 55 cm?
The painting is based off *Dr4kon
's photo "Sleeping Garden" (linked below), which is one of the most amazing landscapes I've ever seen. It's beautiful. GO CHECK IT OUT
For the painting, I modified some things to better suit the paint or my tastes in buildings or the dimensions of the paper. Thank you, *Dr4kon, for letting me use the picture as a reference!
Hopefully that sketch dump I promised will be finished soon. My second college class starts tomorrow, so I'll be even busier than usual. Yay.
